A Manufacturing Engineer opportunity has become available with a growing Birmingham based engineering manufacturer currently investing heavily in production capability, process improvement and automation across its manufacturing operations.
With continued growth and long-term investment across the site, the business is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to support manufacturing performance, improve production efficiency and help drive Continuous Improvement activities within a fast-paced production environment. In return, the successful individual will receive a salary of up to 50,000, strong long-term stability, ongoing training and development opportunities, early Friday finishes and the chance to play a key role in future manufacturing improvements. Graduates and junior engineers are encouraged to apply.
Manufacturing Engineer responsibilities include:
- Improving manufacturing efficiency, reliability, and output.
- Reducing production issues, waste, and downtime.
- Supporting Continuous Improvement and productivity projects.
- Improving manufacturing methods, layouts, and process flow.
- Creating SOPs, process documentation and training support.
- Supporting automation and new equipment installation projects.
Manufacturing Engineer desirable skills and experience:
- 2 years' experience within a Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, or Production Engineer role.
- Background within high-volume manufacturing production environments.
- Experience using Lean Manufacturing, CI tools or problem solving techniques.
