We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Plumber / Water Hygiene Remedial Operative to support a programme of remedial works across a large commercial contract. The role will involve carrying out post-risk assessment actions to ensure full compliance with water hygiene and Legionella control standards.
Responsibilities
- Delivering Legionella and water hygiene remedial works in occupied and vacant buildings
- Servicing, repairing, and replacing TMVs
- Identifying and removing redundant pipework and dead legs
- Carrying out pipework alterations and outlet replacements
- Improving access to systems and installing isolation valves where required
- Completing remedial works on cold water storage tanks
- Addressing hot water return and circulation issues
- Undertaking flushing and purging of water systems
Qualifications
- Proven experience in plumbing and water hygiene remedial works
- Strong understanding of Legionella control and water hygiene principles
- Working knowledge of ACOP L8, HSG274 Part 2, and the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations
- Ability to work independently across a large, multi-building estate
