Business development manager required to work for this established sports travel specialist to help launch a new division. You will have a background in sports travel and strong business development experience. Ideally based in the North West but happy to look elsewhere for an exceptional candidate. Salary up to 35,000 plus a great bonus/commission scheme, benefits and a massive opportunity to grow your own division.
Duties of a Business Development Manager:
- Develop a new division for this successful schools sports travel company.
- Launch the Padel division, targeting corporates and padel clubs, organising corporate UK days and padel holidays mainly to Spain and Portugal.
- The product is ready; need a strong sales professional with sports travel background to promote the product and target corporates and racquet clubs.
- Work one day in the North West office and the rest on the road and phone, possible for candidates from other UK locations.
- Own the whole cycle from lead generation through to booking confirmation.
- Create compelling high-converting proposals and itineraries.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best commercial terms.
Skills required of a Business Development Manager:
- Business development experience within sports travel.
- The drive and contacts to start and drive a new division forward with the support of the existing leadership team.
- Very strong telephone manner, presenting skills and ability to get proposals over the line.
