An established main contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to take responsibility for the internal works package on a major Build to Rent residential development in Manchester. This is a key site-based role, overseeing the delivery of high-quality apartment interiors within a fast-paced, multi-storey new build environment.
The Role
- You will be responsible for managing all internal fit-out activities from first fix through to final handover, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to a consistently high standard.
- Working closely with the Project Manager and wider site team, you will coordinate subcontractors, manage sequencing, and maintain strict quality control throughout the internal packages.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day management of internal
- Coordination and supervision of subcontractors on site
- Driving programme performance and maintaining key milestones
- Ensuring high standards of health & safety compliance at all times
- Managing quality control, inspections, and snagging processes
- Resolving on-site issues and coordinating trade interfaces
- Supporting handover processes and achieving defect-free delivery
- Reporting progress, risks, and site updates to senior management
About You
- Strong background in internal packages and apartment fit-out delivery
- Confident managing subcontractors and fast-moving programmes
- SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), and valid First Aid certification
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality finishes
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to coordinate multiple trades and maintain programme targets
