Our new company is a well established construction contractor with over 40 years' experience delivering commercial, retail, industrial and refurbishment projects across the Northwest. They are recognised as a frontrunner in commercial construction, providing innovative construction, refurbishment and fit out solutions for commercial, industrial and retail properties. The organisation has successfully delivered schemes such as high-end retail, leisure/hotel refurbishments, and commercial developments – including retail projects in Handforth, hotel & spa refurbishments in Bolton, and commercial hotel schemes in Stockport.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial ownership of multiple live projects, leading financial control from tender stage through to final account. Operating within a diverse project portfolio, you will support new‑build and refurbishment schemes across commercial, retail, hotel & leisure and industrial sectors.
- Managing cost planning, tendering and procurement activities
- Preparing BOQs, valuations, CVRs and cost forecasts
- Overseeing subcontract procurement, negotiation and performance
- Maintaining robust cost control and ensuring contract compliance (JCT)
- Working closely with operational teams and clients to ensure successful delivery
- Providing commercial leadership while supporting junior team members where required
What you'll need to succeed:
- Strong experience as a Quantity Surveyor with progression to Senior level
- Background in commercial buildings, retail, hotel/leisure or refurbishment sectors
- Excellent contractual and commercial acumen (JCT expertise essential)
- Confident communicator, negotiator and client‑facing professional
- Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain accurate financial reporting
