Accounts Senior position at a leading independent accountancy practice based in Bolton. The firm has a long-standing reputation and serves a diverse portfolio of clients, from sole traders to partnerships and limited companies, all SMEs under the Audit threshold. Job Responsibilities

  • Preparing statutory and management accounts, VAT returns and bookkeeping.
  • Completing ad-hoc tax duties.
  • Assisting clients with additional financial tasks, supported by Directors.
  • Working closely with leadership to meet deadlines and maintain client relationships.
  • Reviewing juniors' work and mentoring trainees.

There is an opportunity from day one to progress into an Assistant Manager role and eventually into Manager, with your own portfolio carved out.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Be newly qualified or have experience as an Accounts Senior post-qualification (ACA / ACCA).
  • Have strong proficiency in cloud software, as the firm is a leader in cloud services.
  • Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to build client relationships.
  • Build internal relationships with key colleagues and stakeholders across the business.
  • Be proactive in problem-solving and have a track record of reviewing juniors' work and providing mentorship.
