We’re currently recruiting on behalf of a growing and well‑established logistics business for a Sales & Operations Agent to join their Manchester‑based team. The Role:
As Sales & Operations Agent, you’ll work closely with customers, airlines, suppliers, and internal teams to coordinate air freight shipments from quotation through to final delivery. You’ll play a key role in ensuring shipments move efficiently while delivering high levels of customer service and operational accuracy. This is a varied position offering exposure to both sales and operations within an international logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer quote requests and pricing enquiries
- Liaise with airlines, suppliers, and overseas partners to secure competitive rates
- Manage bookings and coordinate freight movements
- Prepare and process operational documentation accurately
- Support import and export air freight operations
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Ensure shipments are handled efficiently and compliantly
- Provide proactive updates and support to customers throughout the shipment process
- Work collaboratively with operations and commercial teams to deliver excellent service levels
What We’re Looking For:
Experience & Knowledge:
- Previous experience within air freight, freight forwarding, or logistics operations
- Exposure to import/export procedures and shipment coordination
- Sales or customer‑facing experience within the cargo or logistics sector
- Understanding of airline bookings and freight documentation would be advantageous
Skills & Attributes:
