PSR Solutions are working with an established client within the Civil Engineering Sector to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial team on a permanent basis. This role will be project and site based, with their office based in Manchester and projects across the North West.

Quantity Surveyor Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provision of accurate and timely cost and value reporting at both project and business unit levels to inform Group reporting
  • Cost management and project forecasting
  • Drafting and updating a monthly CVR, cost and commercial plans
  • Responsibility for subcontract procurement, negotiation and financial accounting
  • Effectively manage contract and subcontract agreements, primarily IChemE and NEC forms
  • Ability to interrogate and challenge records, reports and cost data
  • Mitigate commercial risk, identify and realise commercial opportunities
  • Work with the wider project team to forecast predicted expenditure and cash recovery to ensure that both are in line with business unit expectation

Quantity Surveyor Requirements

  • BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar commercial related course
  • NEC Contract experience is essential
  • Demonstrable experience in monthly forecasting and cost analysis
  • Previous experience in the construction industry
  • Excellent communication, numeric and computer literacy skills, proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Valid driving licence
