Our client, an international manufacturer who is renowned for its well-known household brands, is currently on the look-out for a Multi Skilled Engineer - Electrical bias to join their team. We are looking for someone who is confident in taking ownership of their work, demonstrating accountability and responsibility on site. A proactive approach, positive attitude, and the ability to work well within a team are essential for success in this role.

  • You would be working across a wide range of equipment - Conveyors, robotics, packaging lines, fillers, drives, flow wrappers, cappers, pumps and valves etc.

Job details:

  • Ensure that preventative and reactive maintenance duties are carried out across the site.
  • Be the first point of contact when breakdowns occur.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues promptly to minimise downtime.
  • Identify and support initiatives to reduce waste and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance team members to co-ordinate repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Liaise with the Engineering Team Manager for workload planning and technical support.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Engineering skills obtained by a time served apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3).
  • Previous experience within a fast-paced FMCG or food manufacturing environment (Essential).
  • Strong fault-finding capabilities.
  • PLC fault-finding experience.
  • Familiar with packaging lines, drives, conveyors, rotating machinery, pumping equipment and valves.
  • Competent in safe working procedures.

  • Shift: 4 on 4 off (2 days / 2 nights).
  • Salary: £53,600 (annual pay review).
