This work is predominantly consultation based, working with each school's individual needs (not much statutory work).

NonStop Care is currently supporting one of the local authorities in Greater Manchester, with the recruitment of a Locum Educational Psychologist to cover for a person in the team who is on sick leave.

Working pattern: Hybrid (face-to-face work in schools alongside home-based report writing)

This opportunity offers a balanced caseload across statutory and traded services, with a strong emphasis on delivering tailored support to schools through established service level agreements.

Key responsibilities of the Locum Educational Psychologist:

  • Deliver services to schools under a service level agreement model
  • Carry out individual assessments and consultation work based on school needs
  • Manage a mixed caseload (statutory work not predominant)
  • Work within a defined patch area

Requirements of the Locum Educational Psychologist:

  • Minimum 4-5 years' experience within a local authority EP service
  • Ideally experience within a traded service
  • Strong commitment, reliability, and ability to manage workload independently
