THE ROLE

The role is an exciting opportunity to lead, mentor, coach and support the EAP Counselling Management team on a day-to-day basis, ensuring clinical and operational quality and efficiency across the counselling teams. The primary focus is to keep the department moving forward in the delivery and maintenance of quality and SLAs. You will coach the management team - ensuring that all are working consistently and in line with organisational and clinical expectations.

Day to Day responsibilities:

  • Clinical and operational responsibility for the day to day running of the helpline counselling teams under the guidance of the Associate Director - Clinical Services
  • Providing clinical leadership and guidance to the Counselling Management team
  • Ensuring quality assessments and individual coaching takes place across the management team on a daily and weekly basis
  • Providing coaching to all Counselling Managers to ensure they are working in line with internal policies and procedures and maintaining a consistent approach across the department
  • Supporting with recruitment and overseeing departmental retention
  • Overseeing the investigation and outcome of complaints and where necessary, liaise with clients regarding service issues
  • Attending and representing the clinical service at key stakeholder meetings to ensure clinical governance and operational efficiencies are followed at all times
  • Conducting fortnightly 1-2-1's with all Counselling Managers, in addition to bi-annual reviews
  • Maintaining a small active caseload of counselling clients

What you bring to the team:

  • Current accreditation with the BACP (or eligibility to apply and actively working towards)
  • Ability to multi-task effectively and work in a time pressured environment
  • Strong leader who is able to communicate clearly
  • Commercial and operational awareness and interest
  • Previous EAP experience desirable but not essential
