Our client, a reputable and growing construction contractor, is currently seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and knowledgeable H&S professional to play a key role in maintaining high safety standards across a range of construction projects.

The Role

The Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of health, safety, and compliance across multiple sites. Working closely with operational teams and senior management, you will ensure the business remains compliant with current legislation while promoting a positive safety culture throughout the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain company health & safety policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Ensure compliance with current UK health & safety legislation
  • Investigate incidents and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Deliver toolbox talks and support ongoing staff training
  • Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and external bodies
  • Promote a strong health & safety culture across all projects

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Health & Safety Manager role within the construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation and regulations
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent qualification
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple sites/projects
  • Full UK driving licence preferred
