We are currently recruiting a Class 2 Driver to work for our client in the Manchester area. Newly passed drivers are welcome to apply, so even if you have limited experience, this could be a great opportunity for you.
The Role
As a Class 2 driver, you'll be reporting to the Team Leader. You will work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, adapting to new situations on a daily basis. This is a physically and mentally demanding role that requires reliability, flexibility, and a strong work ethic. Shifts are Monday to Friday, with average 9-10 hour shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Safe and legal operation of a lorry
- Conducting pre-trip vehicle checks
- Ensuring loads are secure
- Planning efficient delivery routes
- Adhering to drivers' hours and road regulations
- Delivering goods to specified locations on time
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence with Category C (Class 2)
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
- Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Right to work in the UK
- Minimum 1 year's experience desirable, but not essential
