We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 1 HIAB Driver on behalf of a well-established glass and window company. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering long-term stability and a permanent salary of £44,000. The role involves delivering glass, windows, and related products to customers across the UK. Drivers must be comfortable carrying out offloading duties independently using a HIAB crane while maintaining excellent safety and customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver glass and window products to customer sites across the UK
- Operate HIAB crane equipment safely and efficiently to offload deliveries
- Carry out daily vehicle checks before and after shifts
- Ensure all delivery paperwork is completed accurately
- Check orders and delivery documentation before leaving site
- Maintain high standards of health & safety at all times
- Secure loads correctly and ensure goods are transported safely
- Communicate professionally with customers and transport teams
- Report vehicle defects, delivery issues, or delays promptly
- Keep vehicle clean and roadworthy
- Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
- Valid HIAB qualification / certification
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Previous experience operating HIAB equipment preferred
- Comfortable with early morning starts and 10-hour working days
- Good understanding of driver hours and road transport regulations
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
