We are currently recruiting for an experienced Approved Electrician to join a growing engineering services business delivering electrical installations across industrial sites throughout the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified electrician who is comfortable working away from home and has experience within industrial environments, including installation of containment, cabling and distribution systems.

Salary & Package

  • £39,600 basic salary (based on £20.32/hr, 37.5 hours)
  • Overtime paid at: Time and a half after 37.5 hours (including travel time)
  • Saturdays: First 6 hours at time and a half, then double time
  • Sundays: Double time all day
  • 22 days annual leave + bank holidays
  • Company pension (matched up to 6% after probation)
  • Ongoing training and career development
  • Opportunity to increase earnings through further qualifications (e.g. CompEx)

The Role

As an Approved Electrician, you will be working on sites across England, carrying out electrical installation work within industrial environments. You will be responsible for delivering work safely, efficiently and to a high standard, supporting project delivery across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical installations in industrial environments
  • Install SWA cabling across a range of sizes
  • Install and connect distribution boards
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and CDM regulations
  • Follow instructions from site supervisors and project leads
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and safety on site

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Electrician (Apprenticeship / NVQ Level 3 / AM2 or equivalent)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (C&G)
  • Inspection & Testing (C&G 2391 or equivalent)
  • Proven experience working in industrial electrical installations
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to travel and work away from home regularly
