Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Machine Operator to join a busy manufacturing company based in Stockport. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is mechanically minded, reliable, and able to work efficiently within a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor production machinery safely and efficiently
  • Carry out basic machine setup and adjustments
  • Perform routine quality checks on products
  • Identify and report faults or maintenance issues
  • Assist with basic troubleshooting and minor mechanical repairs
  • Ensure machinery and work areas are kept clean and organised
  • Follow all health & safety procedures and company policies
  • Complete production paperwork and shift reports accurately
  • Work closely with maintenance and production teams to minimise downtime

Requirements

  • Previous experience operating machinery within a manufacturing or production environment preferred

  • Ability to work 12-hour continental shifts on a 4 on / 4 off rota
