We are recruiting for a Maintenance Planner to join our client’s COMAH-regulated operations. This position is responsible for preparing, optimising and controlling planned maintenance activities to maximise plant availability and minimise reactive work. The role ensures all tasks are fully scoped, resourced and scheduled in advance, enabling safe and efficient execution. This Maintenance Planner role is critical to the reliability function within a high-hazard operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed job plans and work packs
  • Produce structured maintenance look-ahead schedules
  • Coordinate internal and contractor resources
  • Ensure materials, permits and isolations are defined during planning
  • Maintain CMMS data integrity
  • Support KPI reporting and asset reliability improvement
  • Contribute to audits and Safety Management System compliance

Requirements

  • Experience in maintenance planning in COMAH, oil & gas, chemical or heavy industry
  • CMMS expertise (SAP PM, Maximo, IFS or equivalent)
  • Primavera P6 or MS Project experience
  • Strong understanding of maintenance risk prioritisation
  • Excellent cross-functional coordination skills
