Location: Holme House Rd, Stockton-on-Tees TS18 2QU.
Hours per week: Negotiable.
Responsibilities
- Planned and preventative electrical maintenance
- Diagnose and replace failed domestic electrical components
- Respond to breakdowns, ensuring work is carried out under the appropriate Safe System of Work and in a timely manner
- Actively fault-find and problem-solve on domestic electrical systems across the prison
- Undertake electrical installation activities in accordance with the design and IET Wiring Regulations
- Test and inspect electrical installations in accordance with current IEE wiring regulations
- Monitor and order critical spares for all electrical services
Qualifications and Requirements
- Technical qualifications: City & Guilds 2365 Part 1-3, BTEC, NVQ level 3 or above, BS7671 IET Wiring Regulations (18th or 19th Edition)
- Knowledge and experience of Electrical Systems and Electricity at Work Regulations
- Capability to work at heights
- Must pass full prison security clearance and enhanced DBS (if required)
- Valid passport or full birth certificate and photo; driving licence required at current address
- Proof of National Insurance and proof of address dated within the past 3 months
- At least two satisfactory employment references
