Location & Hours
Location: Holme House Rd, Stockton-on-Tees TS18 2QU.
Hours per week: Negotiable.

Responsibilities

  • Planned and preventative electrical maintenance
  • Diagnose and replace failed domestic electrical components
  • Respond to breakdowns, ensuring work is carried out under the appropriate Safe System of Work and in a timely manner
  • Actively fault-find and problem-solve on domestic electrical systems across the prison
  • Undertake electrical installation activities in accordance with the design and IET Wiring Regulations
  • Test and inspect electrical installations in accordance with current IEE wiring regulations
  • Monitor and order critical spares for all electrical services

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Technical qualifications: City & Guilds 2365 Part 1-3, BTEC, NVQ level 3 or above, BS7671 IET Wiring Regulations (18th or 19th Edition)
  • Knowledge and experience of Electrical Systems and Electricity at Work Regulations
  • Capability to work at heights
  • Must pass full prison security clearance and enhanced DBS (if required)
  • Valid passport or full birth certificate and photo; driving licence required at current address
  • Proof of National Insurance and proof of address dated within the past 3 months
  • At least two satisfactory employment references
