Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of children and young people within the Children in Care service
- Undertake statutory visits, assessments, and care planning responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with children, carers, and families
- Ensure care plans are progressed effectively to achieve permanence and stability
- Attend reviews, strategy meetings, and court proceedings where required
- Work alongside foster carers, education providers, health professionals, and partner agencies
- Safeguard children and promote their welfare at all times
- Maintain accurate case recordings and reports in line with statutory guidance
Candidate Requirements
- Social Work England registration
- Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification
- Significant post-qualified experience within Children’s Services
- Experience working within Children in Care or Looked After Children teams
- Strong safeguarding and care planning knowledge
- Ability to manage complex caseloads effectively
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
