Our Client is a well run and expanding 2nd Tier Contractor who are looking for an experienced Mechanical and Electrical Quantity Surveyor to help deliver a long‑term framework of construction based new build and refurbishment projects in the commercial, residential and government sectors. Projects typically range from 1 million to 15 million. This is genuinely a great place to work with an excellent working environment.

The ideal candidate will already be working in a similar quantity surveying role on the Mechanical and Electrical side. This is an exceptional role with an exciting company and is not just about pricing but meeting clients and stakeholders on a regular basis.

As a Quantity Surveyor you will have strong process‑driven experience and take responsibility for:

  • Preparation of detailed mechanical and electrical estimates across a range of projects
  • Take‑offs and pricing for HVAC, pipework, plant, and associated mechanical services
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
  • Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Creating cost plans, value‑engineering options, and tender submissions
  • Helping with project bids
  • Helping manage quality delivery
  • Variations

About You

  • Good experience within building services or construction
  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems and installation methods
  • Experience of working with drawings, specifications, and estimating software
