Rolling Mill Operator/Setter in Wolverhampton
£12.71 per hour (Trainee Rate). Up to £14.00 per hour for Experienced Setters. Full Time / Temp to Perm.
Our client, a well-established manufacturing company based in Wolverhampton, is currently recruiting for a Rolling Mill Operator/Setter to join their production team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career within manufacturing, with full training available for the right trainee candidate and higher rates offered for experienced setters.
Hours of Work:
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00am to 3:30pm
- Friday: 7:00am to 12:00pm
- 37 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting and operating rolling mill machinery to production specifications
- Monitoring machine performance and product quality
- Carrying out machine adjustments and minor troubleshooting
- Ensuring materials are processed efficiently and safely
- Completing production documentation accurately
- Maintaining a clean and organised working area
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or machine operating environment preferred
- Experience as a rolling mill setter/operator advantageous but not essential for trainee applicants
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
