Location: Sutton in Ashfield NG17

Hours: Mon-Thurs 08:00-16:30, Fri 06:45-13:30

Overtime: Morning overtime available from 06:00, paid at time and a half

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Machine Operative to join our leading design, manufacture, and supply client in NG17. The ideal candidate will have experience in metalworking and will be confident operating a plasma cutting machine to cut steel to precise specifications. This role also requires valid crane training (within the last 5 years) as part of our safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Operate plasma cutting machinery to produce high-quality steel components
  • Work safely and efficiently with metal materials
  • Load and unload materials using cranes safely
  • Contribute to a team-focused, production-driven environment
  • Meet performance targets within our piece work bonus system

What We Offer

  • Competitive starting rate: £14.12/hour during initial training period (approx. 6 weeks, automatic 100% performance pay)
  • Potential to earn up to £16.03/hour based on performance
  • Overtime opportunities at time and a half
