I am currently recruiting for a Principal Electronics Design Engineer to work for a leading engineering organisation based in Cheshire. Salary up to 65,000 + Benefits. The organisation has been in operation for over 30 years and are leaders within their field of expertise, with zero competitors across the whole of the UK, so have fantastic market share. They employ 30 specialists within their respective disciplines and are constantly pushing the boundaries of technology to ensure they stay at the forefront of their market.
In line with succession planning and to support the business with the sheer amount of projects ongoing, they have the need to appoint another Principal Electronics Design Engineer on a permanent basis. In this role as a Principal Electronics Design Engineer, you will be working in a multi-disciplined Research and Development team. You will be responsible for full life cycle design which will include PCB Design and Schematic capture, Digital, Analogue and low level Firmware development in Embedded C. There is a huge amount of DSP (Digital Signal Processing) within this role as well. It's primarily a NPD/NPI focused role, but you will also be expected to get involved in sustaining activities for their existing product portfolio which may include component obsolescence and cost engineering.
In time the opportunity to mentor and lead other engineers will be available should this appeal, but isn't a requirement.
Requirements:- At least 5 years' experience as an Electronics Design Engineer, Hardware Engineer, Firmware Engineer, Embedded Software Engineer or similar
- PCB Design and Schematic capture
- Digital, Analogue, DSP (Digital Signal Processing)
- Serial Communication Protocols (ideally Ethernet)
