We are currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable chef to join a friendly care home team in Macclesfield on a temporary‑to‑permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who enjoys preparing nutritious, home‑style meals and wants to work in a rewarding environment supporting around 50 residents within a nursing/care home setting.
Key Responsibilities- Preparing and cooking fresh, balanced meals for approximately 50 residents
- Catering for a range of dietary requirements, including soft diets, allergies, and nutritional needs
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
- Ensuring all food safety and HACCP procedures are followed
- Previous chef experience within a care home, nursing home or similar catering environment preferred
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Good understanding of dietary and allergy requirements
- Reliable, organised, and able to work independently
- Enhanced DBS preferred (or willingness to undergo one)
- Temp‑to‑perm opportunity with long‑term stability
