The Finance Manager position offers a broad, hands-on role within a close-knit management team. It will suit a commercially minded accountant who is available immediately or on short notice.

What will the Temporary Finance Manager role involve?

  • Producing timely and accurate monthly management accounts, including profit and loss and balance sheet reporting
  • Leading year end accounting processes and liaising with external advisors where required
  • Building, maintaining and reviewing forecasts, including cash flow planning
  • Overseeing sales and purchase ledgers, supplier payments and bank reconciliations
  • Managing payroll processes
  • Ensuring compliance with VAT, PAYE and pension submissions
  • Preparing clear monthly performance reports and working with department heads to identify and drive improvements

What are we looking for in the role of Temporary Finance Manager?

  • Well experienced in a senior accounting or Finance Manager level role
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero or similar accounting system
  • Confident use of Microsoft 365, with solid Excel skills
  • A naturally inquisitive mindset with strong numerical and analytical ability
  • A positive, commercial approach with the confidence to challenge and support stakeholders
