Our client is currently recruiting for a hardworking and reliable Stores & Despatch Operative to join a busy and fast-paced stores and despatch department. This is a hands-on role that plays a key part in ensuring materials move efficiently through the production process and customer orders are prepared and dispatched accurately and on time.

The successful candidate will thrive in a high-volume environment, demonstrate strong organisational skills, and be comfortable managing multiple priorities throughout the day. Previous experience within warehouse, manufacturing, engineering, or logistics environments would be highly advantageous.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
  • Managing incoming and outgoing deliveries efficiently within a fast-paced environment
  • Booking stock in and out using internal systems and maintaining accurate records
  • Carrying out regular stock checks and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Performing final visual inspections on machined components prior to dispatch
  • Packing finished goods securely and preparing shipments for customers
  • Liaising with suppliers regarding component deliveries and order coordination
  • Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the stores and despatch operation
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
  • Assisting colleagues and supporting operational demands during peak periods
Candidate Requirements
  • Ability to work at pace while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Good IT and computer literacy, including confidence using internal systems/databases
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-focused attitude
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a changing production environment
  • A positive and proactive approach to work
  • Previous warehouse, stores, manufacturing, engineering, or despatch experience preferred
