Role Overview
We are seeking a qualified Electrician to support a busy repairs and maintenance service, delivering high-quality electrical work across domestic properties. You will ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with current regulations while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, testing, and repair work
- Diagnose faults and determine appropriate remedial action
- Ensure all work complies with current electrical and building regulations
- Complete repairs within required timescales and quality standards
- Communicate professionally with tenants and arrange follow-up visits where required
- Record all work accurately using PDA/mobile systems
- Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota
- Maintain safe working practices and comply with health & safety legislation
- Use and maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles responsibly
- Support multi-trade working when required
- Ensure work areas are left clean and safe after completion
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation
- City & Guilds 18th Edition
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing
- PAT Testing qualification (2377)
- Health & Safety qualification
- Strong understanding of electrical regulations and safe systems of work
Additional Information
- Temporary assignment due to short-term demand
- Must be confident working in occupied residential properties
