The school is looking to take on a proactive Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis, with the potential to become permanent for the right Teaching Assistant. The successful Teaching Assistant will be supporting teachers across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, working with individuals and small groups to help maintain engagement, support learning and manage classroom behaviour.
Responsibilities
- Support teachers across KS3 and KS4, working with individuals and small groups to maintain engagement and support learning.
- Assist with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Qualifications
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to support students with varying abilities
- A patient, flexible and proactive approach
- Good behaviour management skills
