We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing environment supporting production machinery, automation, and site equipment. This is a hands-on role working within a fast-paced production setting, responsible for ensuring equipment uptime, carrying out fault finding, and supporting both planned and reactive maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical and mechanical fault finding on production equipment
  • Reactive breakdown response to minimise downtime
  • Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Repair and servicing of machinery, equipment, and site services
  • Working with motors, sensors, relays, and control systems
  • Basic PLC fault finding and diagnostics (inputs/outputs)
  • Installation and commissioning of equipment when required
  • Use of hand tools, machine tools, and measuring equipment
  • Working in line with health & safety procedures at all times

Required Experience:

  • Previous experience in a maintenance engineering role
  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding ability
  • Experience working in manufacturing, production, or industrial environments
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and technical manuals
  • Experience with automated systems or machinery is highly desirable
  • Basic understanding of PLC-controlled equipment advantageous

Qualifications (Desirable):

  • City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • 18th Edition (advantageous but not essential)
  • Inspection & Testing (2391 or equivalent) beneficial
