We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing environment supporting production machinery, automation, and site equipment. This is a hands-on role working within a fast-paced production setting, responsible for ensuring equipment uptime, carrying out fault finding, and supporting both planned and reactive maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding on production equipment
- Reactive breakdown response to minimise downtime
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Repair and servicing of machinery, equipment, and site services
- Working with motors, sensors, relays, and control systems
- Basic PLC fault finding and diagnostics (inputs/outputs)
- Installation and commissioning of equipment when required
- Use of hand tools, machine tools, and measuring equipment
- Working in line with health & safety procedures at all times
Required Experience:
- Previous experience in a maintenance engineering role
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding ability
- Experience working in manufacturing, production, or industrial environments
- Ability to read engineering drawings and technical manuals
- Experience with automated systems or machinery is highly desirable
- Basic understanding of PLC-controlled equipment advantageous
Qualifications (Desirable):
- City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- 18th Edition (advantageous but not essential)
- Inspection & Testing (2391 or equivalent) beneficial
