We are urgently looking to recruit a Warehouse/forklift-counter balance driver within the Greenford area. This is a temp to permanent role, providing opportunity for development and progression within the company on a permanent basis.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Valid in-date certificate for Forklift/Counter Balance is essential.
- Experienced in the fundamentals around the safety of Forklifts in the Warehouse.
- Warehouse experience.
- Loading and unloading of vehicles and trailers which may include some heavy lifting.
- Shrink wrapping and pallet strapping.
- Day-to-day administration.
- Participation in the stock take.
- Filling in of Check Sheets, Delivery Notes.
- Weighing and labelling of goods.
- Need previous experience of the Health and Safety standards of the warehouse.
YOU SHOULD
- Provide a friendly and helpful response to customer enquiries to their total satisfaction in order to contribute to the distribution team's goal of improving service levels.
- Identify and work with third party distribution providers, identifying potential problems to ensure the smooth flow of orders and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure that complaints, as they affect your direct responsibility, are promptly dealt with in a professional manner.
- Maintain company property to the required standard.
- Represent the company in a business-like manner and maintain a standard of dress and appearance in keeping with the job and position within the company.
- As an employee, you have a legal duty to take reasonable care of yourself and others and to co-operate with management on all aspects of health and safety.
- Be prepared to assist with out-of-hours services to customers when the need arises, as well as any ad hoc duties as required by the Branch Manager, Assistant Branch Manager or a Director.
A Forklift / Counter Balance licence is a must-have.
HOURS
07:30am - 17:30pm Monday to Friday. You must be prepared to work longer hours but you will be paid overtime rate for any time over 5pm.
