Join a Specialist Smoke Ventilation Engineering Team. We are working with a growing and highly respected smoke ventilation specialist delivering life-safety projects across residential, commercial and mixed-use developments throughout the UK. Due to continued growth we are looking for experienced Smoke Ventilation Engineers across Service, Installation and Commissioning disciplines. Whether your background is primarily service-based, installation-focused or commissioning-led we want to hear from you.
The Role
- You will be responsible for working on a wide range of smoke ventilation and life safety systems ensuring compliance, safety and performance across projects.
- Installation, wiring and maintenance of AOV and smoke control systems.
- Commissioning and functional testing of smoke ventilation systems.
- Fault-finding and diagnostics on control panels and associated systems.
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
- Ensuring compliance with Approved Document B, BS EN 12101, BS 9999, BS 9991, BS 7346-8.
- Completing commissioning reports and service documentation.
- Working safely at height where required.
- Supporting and mentoring junior engineers (senior level roles).
What We are Looking For
- Experience working with smoke ventilation / AOV systems.
- Strong knowledge of control panels and electrical systems.
- Experience in installation, servicing or commissioning.
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installations (or equivalent).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- ECS / JIB Card.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- Experience with systems such as SE Controls, Teal Colt, SCS, FDS.
- PASMA, IPAF, Rooftop Safety.
- SSSTS (for senior roles).
- Extract rate testing and commissioning experience.
- Understanding of CFD reports (commissioning level).
