An established and growing food manufacturing business in West London is seeking a resilient, people-focused Senior Night Shift Manager to take full operational control of their night-time warehouse and dispatch functions. This is a critical leadership role within a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all products are accurately prepared, segregated under strict temperature controls, and loaded safely for next-day delivery.
The Role
- Taking full ownership of the night shift operation, overseeing goods-in, picking accuracy, and driver loading functions.
- Motivating, coaching, and developing your team, including conducting performance reviews and managing probation periods.
- Maintaining strict compliance with BRC controls, food safety measures, and temperature-controlled product standards.
- Leading stock investigations and cycle counts, keeping stock levels accurate, and tracking KPIs, to report back to senior operations.
- Working closely with Purchasing, Customer Service, and Transport teams to resolve daily operational issues smoothly.
Your Skills & Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of warehouse management experience, ideally with a strong background in food manufacturing, chilled environments, or food distribution.
- A solid understanding of BRC controls, food safety compliance, and health & safety procedures.
- Tech-savvy and proficient with warehouse management systems (experience with SAP is highly desirable).
- A proactive leader who empowers their team, isn't afraid to make confident decisions under pressure, and is happy to support operatives on the floor when needed.
