An established financial services organisation is seeking a Risk Transformation Subject Matter Expert to support a large-scale transformation programme within its Risk function. This role focuses on enhancing risk frameworks, supporting regulatory-aligned change initiatives, and contributing to the delivery of risk-related transformation across multiple workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery and testing of risk-related business requirements for technology and change initiatives
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of risk methodologies, including impact analysis and regulatory submissions
  • Assist with programme and project artefacts, including change documentation and reporting
  • Provide risk input into operating model design, strategy, and target state vision
  • Engage with internal stakeholders and external market participants on risk management topics
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, governance standards, and audit requirements
  • Continuously develop technical expertise and professional capability

Required Experience & Knowledge

  • Strong background in risk management within a financial services environment
  • Exposure to clearing or centrally managed risk frameworks is highly desirable
  • Solid understanding of margining and risk models (e.g. VaR-based methodologies)
  • Knowledge of stress testing, back testing, and product valuation principles
  • Demonstrable experience working on change or transformation initiatives within Risk
  • Familiarity with both waterfall and agile delivery methodologies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
