The role will be based at the London offices (hybrid with at least 3 days on site).
Our client is an international trader and distributor of speciality chemicals, providing a fully integrated business service to suppliers and manufacturers around the globe. A role has arisen to support trade compliance related to the chemical regulations in EMEA, analyse trade compliance requirements, plan and implement compliance programs and monitor compliance procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve compliance scheme for international and European regulations on hazardous chemicals.
- Conduct compliance checks and follow them up in a timely manner to ensure appropriate remedial actions have been taken by Business Units as necessary.
- Provide periodical trainings and workshops on REACH and CLP related matters, create presentations and e-learning materials.
- Support business departments through the REACH compliance program.
- Operate and maintain new REACH systems, ExESS and PUBLICHEM.
- Compile, submit and maintain REACH registration dossiers via IUCLID when required and ensure the consistency of information communicated within the supply chain.
- Author REACH compliant SDS and E-SDS whenever required by Business Units.
- Support business departments in the CLP compliance program and monitor compliance with CLP regulatory requirements.
- Submit and monitor CLP Notifications and consistency of information communicated within the supply chain.
- Submit and monitor PCN (Poison Centre Notification) and SCIP Notifications for articles as necessary.
- Support business departments in REACH/CLP enforcement authorities audit.
- Analyse other EU and UK regulatory compliance requirements related to chemicals for import/export and support business departments in their compliance procedures (BPR, RoHS, PIC, Waste regulation, Food additives, Drug precursors etc).
