A growing contractor within the social housing sector is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to oversee planned maintenance, refurbishment, and repair projects across London and the surrounding areas. This is a full-time permanent position with regular travel across multiple sites, managing projects from pre-start through to completion. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to a high standard while maintaining strong client relationships throughout.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage planned works and refurbishment projects across occupied social housing properties
- Oversee day-to-day project delivery, site teams, subcontractors, and programme performance
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
- Maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and operational teams
- Monitor project progress, reporting, financials, and programme milestones
- Ensure materials, labour, and resources are effectively coordinated across projects
- Produce and maintain project documentation including CPPs, RAMS, COSHH, and other compliance paperwork
- Work closely with commercial teams and demonstrate a strong understanding of Schedule of Rates (SOR)
- Ensure all works are delivered in line with CDM Regulations and health & safety requirements
- Attend client meetings and provide regular progress updates
Requirements
- Previous experience delivering construction, planned maintenance, or refurbishment projects within social housing or public sector environments
- Strong knowledge of Schedule of Rates (SOR) and planned maintenance delivery
- Strong understanding of CDM Regulations and health & safety compliance
- Experience producing and managing project compliance documentation including CPPs, RAMS, and COSHH
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight programmes
- Full UK Driving Licence
- SMSTS or SSSTS preferred
- First Aid qualification beneficial
