You manage competing priorities well. You've probably noticed that most coordinators either excel at spreadsheets or client relationships, rarely both. Our client needs someone who can do both, fluently. They work with household names and their projects move fast enough that accuracy matters as much as speed. If you've spent the last few years in construction admin watching margins slip because nobody joined the dots between the paperwork and the budget, this job exists to fix that.

THE ROLE

You’ll coordinate projects across the Critical Services division; attending meetings, chasing approvals, raising purchase orders, tracking costs, and keeping clients informed. Your desk becomes the nerve centre: forecasting trackers updated, documentation filed correctly in Procore, permits coordinated, subcontractor quotes logged, invoicing processed. You’ll visit sites, speak to building managers and clients directly, and feed weekly updates into NetSuite with the management team. None of it is glamorous. All of it determines whether projects land on time and in budget.

SO WHAT?

You’ll stop watching chaos from the sidelines. Which means you’ll see the direct correlation between your admin precision and actual profit. You’ll also build real relationships with clients and project teams not as a secretary, but as someone they depend on to keep things moving. That visibility matters when you want to progress: three years in this role and you’re either moving into project management or commercial control. The business is growing fast (£90m turnover, organically built), so there’s space to move if you’re good.

Beyond the role itself, you’ll access private healthcare, dental insurance, life cover, and a pension. After 12 months you become part of the Employee‑Owned Trust scheme. The hours are 7 am–4 pm with a paid hour lunch, early starts, but you’re done by 4.

THE HONEST BIT

This is office and site based. No WFH. You’ll spend time at the office and on various London sites depending on the project. If location flexibility matters to you, this isn’t it. The conversation about future flexibility happens after probation, but it’s not a given.

WHO WE'RE TALKING TO

  • 3+ years in construction administration.
  • Raised POs, chased invoices, managed multiple projects simultaneously, and dealt with clients face‑to‑face.
  • Advanced Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data tracking).
  • Familiarity with Procore or similar software preferred.
  • Understands purchase orders, budgets, and health & safety documentation.

That is the entry threshold. Everything else we can teach.
