Product Development Manager required for a creative, well-established company in the luxury bespoke promotional gifting sector. On offer is the chance to join an exciting team and make your mark in a company that works directly with great factories that produce made to order luxury gifts.
In this exciting role you will be central to the creation of innovative design led products from notebooks and pens, bags, textiles, leather to electronics, board games and personal products. Experience within the promotional merchandise sector or within luxury product development is required as well as sourcing and working with factories/suppliers internationally. You will manage the full process from proposal through to delivery of the final product. You will be the project manager for new product development.
The Product Development Manager Role:
- Managing the development of proposals for clients alongside product designers and sales using Microsoft, Photoshop, Illustrator and AI systems.
- Preparing and presenting client-ready concepts, specifications, and presentations using Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and AI-assisted design tools.
- Coordinating sample reviews, pre-production approvals, and quality control standards to ensure consistency and compliance with client specifications.
- Sourcing, evaluating and onboarding of new manufacturers of products internationally ensuring compliance with regards quality, legal requirements and both sustainability and ethical objectives.
- Managing partner factories in the development of new products.
- Collaborating and working closely to ensure the correct quality of products is delivered to budget and on time.
- Coordinating global fulfilment in collaboration with sales, finance and shipping.
- Work to tight deadlines in a fast moving collaborative environment.
- Attending global trade fairs to stay up to date on product and manufacturers.
The Product Development Manager:
- Experience in Product Development within promotional merchandise/luxury gift with purchase (or similar).
- Experience sourcing and working with international suppliers from quotation through to product delivery.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent communication and negotiation skills.
