V7 Recruitment are looking for an experienced MEP Cost Manager to support the delivery of major data centre projects across the Nordics, with a focus on Norway and Finland. This role will involve working on large-scale, complex developments, supporting clients from early-stage design through to project completion. Using your expertise in MEP cost management, you will be responsible for developing cost plans, carrying out feasibility studies, supporting procurement and tender evaluations, and managing commercial aspects throughout the project lifecycle. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This is an opportunity to work within a fast-growing sector, contributing to high-value, technically complex data centre projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders. You will be working alternating weeks, one on-site in the Nordics and the other working from home.

Role Accountabilities:

  • Provide MEP quantity surveying and commercial cost management services on data centre projects
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, feasibility studies, and benchmarking; develop and manage cost plans
  • Support procurement processes, including tender analysis, evaluation, and contractor selection
  • Review and agree contractor proposals, manage variations, and oversee commercial reporting
  • Deliver cost control throughout construction and handover phases
  • Advise on value engineering, risk management, and whole-life costing
  • Collaborate closely with design, engineering, and project delivery teams
  • Support and mentor junior team members where required

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree or qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (M&E) or equivalent (essential)
  • Proven experience in MEP cost management / quantity surveying on large-scale construction projects
  • Data centre project experience is essential
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems, packages, and associated cost drivers
  • Experience in cost estimating, benchmarking, and commercial management
  • Ability to manage projects from inception through to completion
  • Strong stakeholder management and client-facing skills
  • Familiarity with cost management tools such as CostX and/or 5D BIM

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience working on projects within the Nordics (Norway and/or Finland preferred)
  • Willingness to travel as required across project locations
  • Strong communication and coordination skills within multidisciplinary teams
