Hammersmith & Fulham Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Safeguarding Team. This is a frontline role focused on protecting children, managing risk, and supporting families through effective statutory interventions and relationship‑based practice.

You will work within a supportive safeguarding service, delivering high‑quality assessments and care planning to ensure positive outcomes for children and young people.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage a caseload of Child in Need and Child Protection cases
  • Undertake Section 17 and Section 47 assessments
  • Develop and review safeguarding and care plans
  • Lead and participate in multi‑agency meetings and conferences
  • Work directly with children and families to promote positive change
  • Prepare high‑quality reports and maintain accurate case recordings
  • Contribute to permanency planning where required

What You need:

  • Social Work England Registration
  • Social Work Qualification
  • At least 3 years post-qualified experience in children’s social care
  • Strong experience within safeguarding teams (CIN/CP)
  • Confidence managing complex and high-risk cases
  • Excellent assessment, analytical, and communication skills
