A well‐established Top 100 accountancy firm is seeking an experienced Interim Auditor to support its audit team during a period of increased demand. The firm is recognised for delivering high‐quality audit and advisory services and has a growing portfolio of clients from an array of sectors and industries.

Role Overview

The interim auditor will take responsibility for delivering specialist audit work for construction clients. The role requires a strong understanding of long‐term contract accounting, project‐based reporting, WIP assessment, and sector‐specific regulatory considerations. The successful candidate will provide immediate support and ensure high‐quality delivery across multiple engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver audit assignments.
  • Review financial statements with emphasis on long‐term contracts, revenue recognition (including IFRS15), WIP, and project costing.
  • Identify audit risks and ensure appropriate testing and documentation.
  • Support junior team members and contribute to technical discussions.
  • Liaise directly with client finance teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with UK and international auditing standards and internal methodologies.
  • Produce high‐quality workpapers and deliverables within agreed timelines.
