Up to £23.00 per hour DOE

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday - Rotating Shifts
  • 06:00 - 14:30
  • 14:30 - 23:00
  • Optional Saturday Overtime 07:00 - 13:00
  • Overtime paid at enhanced rates of up to £31.50 per hour

The Role:

As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a fleet of commercial vehicles to the highest safety and performance standards. Working within a well‑equipped workshop, you'll use advanced diagnostic equipment and manufacturer procedures to keep vehicles operating efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine servicing, inspections, and repairs on HGVs.
  • Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.
  • Complete maintenance work in accordance with manufacturer standards.
  • Accurately complete job cards and workshop documentation.
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently.
  • Support workshop productivity and vehicle uptime.
  • Assist with fault diagnosis and advanced troubleshooting.
  • Maintain a clean and organised working environment.

  • Electrical Systems Training (Levels 1 & 2)
  • Advanced Diagnostic & Oscilloscope Training
  • E-Mobility and EV Technology Courses
  • Structured Manufacturer Accreditation Pathway
  • Ongoing Technical Development and Career Progression Opportunities

Candidate Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
  • Previous experience working on HGVs or commercial vehicles.
  • Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills.
  • Positive and proactive approach to work.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • HGV Licence advantageous but not essential.
