Our client is seeking a Graduate Engineer to support the engineering delivery of multiple assets across their Rail sector projects, including Civil Engineering, Civil Design Engineering, and coordination within the Shafts and Headhouses discipline. This contract position offers a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate to develop within a complex, multidisciplinary project environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting Engineering Managers and Assistant Engineering Managers with day-to-day engineering activities across Shafts and Headhouses assets.
  • Assisting with the coordination of engineering information between disciplines to ensure consistency and alignment.
  • Supporting the preparation, review, and management of technical documentation, drawings, schedules, and assurance records.
  • Assisting in tracking engineering actions, design comments, technical queries, and interfaces.
  • Supporting constructability reviews and technical assurance activities under supervision.
  • Assisting in managing and recording technical changes, ensuring changes are logged, tracked, and escalated where required.
  • Supporting the review of technical submissions, design updates, and responses from the Design House (DH).
  • Assisting with construction support activities, including responses to technical queries and coordination of engineering inputs.

Job Requirements

  • Educated to degree level or higher in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrable interest in infrastructure engineering and multidisciplinary project delivery.
  • Understanding of engineering principles and construction processes.
  • Willingness to learn and develop within a large, complex project environment.
  • Familiarity with digital engineering tools and document management systems is desirable.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organised and methodical approach to tasks.
  • Relevant CSCS Card (or willingness to obtain).
