We are working with a growing specialist in life safety and smoke ventilation systems, and they are looking for a Fire & Safety Engineer to join their team. This position is heavily focused on AOV, smoke extraction, and pressurisation systems across commercial and residential projects. What You will Be Doing
- Service, maintenance, and fault finding on:
- AOV systems (Automatic Opening Vents)
- Smoke extraction & pressurisation systems
- Fire dampers, fire curtains, and ventilation systems
- Carrying out PPM and reactive works
- Testing systems in line with fire strategy (cause & effect)
- Working on control panels and system diagnostics
- Completing reports and ensuring compliance with regulations
What We are Looking For
- Strong experience with smoke ventilation / AOV systems (essential)
- Background in fire safety, ventilation, or life safety systems
- Experience with systems such as Colt, SE Controls, Velux, Geze, or similar
- Ability to work independently in a field-based role
- Good understanding of compliance and safety standards
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience with fire alarms or emergency lighting
- Knowledge of BS9991 / smoke control regulations
- ECS / CSCS card
