Full and part-time contracts are available for an experienced complex care support worker to join a directly employed care team, providing 2:1 support to a truly wonderful young lady with complex needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day.
Salary/Wage: Weekdays: £19.80, Weekends: £20.80 Gross per Hour
Driving Requirements: Desirable but not essential. WAV (wheelchair accessible vehicle) Manual Drive
Essential: Experience supporting children or young adults with complex care and medical needs, including PEG-J management, airway suctioning, and confidence in all aspects of manual handling. Non-smoker / vaper. This role is open to Female applicants only.
Start Date: May 2026
Days & Hours Available: Weekdays: Monday to Thursday, 08.00 am to 8.00 pm. 1 to 2 waking nights, 8.00 pm to 08.00 am, Weekends and School Holidays: 8.00 am to 8.00 pm. 30 to 40 hours per week

About the Client: Winnie, 18, is a fabulous girly girl with a brilliant sense of humour and a love for life. She enjoys being pampered, having her hair and nails done, and expressing her vibrant personality. Winnie has a wide range of interests, from music and movies to arts and crafts, and she is always keen to explore new activities. Winnie has Cerebral Palsy (GMFCS Level 5), scoliosis and Dystonia. She requires oral suctioning, nebulisers, and has a Gastrojejunostomy in situ for all nutrition, fluids and medication. She is a wheelchair user and communicates using switches. Due to her care needs, Winnie has 2:1 support, 24/7. Winnie lives in Stanmore with her mum in a fully adapted, welcoming home (complete with a therapy room) and attends college.
The Role at a Glance: As a female Complex Care Support Worker, you will work alongside another team member to support Winnie in all aspects of her daily life from personal care and medical needs to helping her pursue her interests and independence; she attends college, Monday to Thursday. You will play a key role in ensuring Winnie continues to thrive, learn, and enjoy life to the fullest. Full training will be provided in all aspects of Winnie’s care; however, prior experience in complex medical care is essential. You will work closely with Winnie’s family, therapy team, and other healthcare professionals in a supportive and collaborative environment. There are also opportunities for overtime if desired (including days and waking nights).
