IT Finance Business Partner supporting EMEA budgets, forecasting, strategic decisions.

Your new company: You'll be joining a large, internationally operating financial services organisation with a strong presence across EMEA. Your new role: As an IT Finance Business Partner (AVP level), you will act as the primary finance contact for senior IT stakeholders across the EMEA region. This is a commercially focused finance role combining management reporting, business partnering, and strategic financial support across technology functions.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the main finance partner to EMEA IT stakeholders
  • Owning the month-end process in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Monitoring and reporting on IT financial performance across Capex and Revex, highlighting risks and opportunities
  • Providing financial analysis and insight to support decision-making and cost optimisation
  • Producing detailed cost analytics and variance analysis against budget and forecast
  • Managing cost-sharing agreements and service level arrangements with global entities
  • Reviewing business cases for IT programmes and strategic initiatives, including financial modelling support
  • Leading annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting for assigned IT areas
  • Supporting wider finance budget deliverables
  • Leading monthly financial review meetings with IT leadership and PMO teams
  • Delivering ad-hoc financial reporting for senior management
  • Managing the monthly capitalisation process
  • Overseeing task management for offshore finance support teams
  • Continuously identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and controls

The role operates within a regulated environment and may involve working across multiple legal entities, requiring strong governance awareness and stakeholder management.

What you'll need to succeed: To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:

  • A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in finance, accounting, or a related discipline
  • Around 4 years' post‐qualification experience in IT Finance, Finance Business Partnering, or Management Reporting
  • A professional accounting qualification (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong experience partnering with non-finance stakeholders, particularly within IT or change environments
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and explain complex financial information
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong PowerPoint capability
  • Confident communication and presentation skills
  • A proactive, self‐motivated approach and strong team ethic
  • A good understanding of IT cost structures and, ideally, the IT project delivery lifecycle
