Tempting Recruitment is working alongside our client, who are looking to recruit an experienced Associate to join their Corporate M&A team based in London.

An international law firm is seeking a Corporate Associate with one to three years of post-qualification experience to join its Mergers & Acquisitions team in London. This role offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of corporate transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, corporate restructurings, recapitalisations, strategic partnerships, cross-border transactions, auctions, takeovers, equity capital markets transactions, joint ventures, and private equity and venture capital investments.

The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Advising clients on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters
  • Assisting with the management and execution of domestic and cross-border M&A transactions
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating transaction documents and ancillary agreements
  • Conducting legal due diligence and coordinating disclosure exercises
  • Managing transaction timelines, workstreams and communications with clients and counterparties
  • Supporting partners and senior lawyers on complex corporate transactions
  • Collaborating with colleagues across multiple practice areas and jurisdictions
  • Participating in business development and client relationship initiatives

The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

  • One to three years of post-qualification experience in mergers & acquisitions
  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales, or otherwise eligible to practice in England & Wales without sponsorship
  • Excellent drafting and project management skills
  • Strong academic background
