About the Role
- Strategic leadership of Key Stage 2, including mentoring colleagues, overseeing curriculum delivery, and tracking progress.
- Deliver high-quality, engaging teaching in Year 6 or another KS2 class as needed.
- Play a lead role in preparing children for end-of-key-stage assessments, ensuring progress and achievement across the phase.
- Work closely with SLT to support whole-school initiatives, assessment and CPD planning.
- Opportunity to take on whole-school responsibilities and contribute to the development of teaching and learning.
- This role has a clear progression route to Assistant Headteacher, with the timeline and development plan tailored to experience.
Who We're Looking For
- Qualified teacher (QTS) with substantial KS2 experience, ideally including Year 6.
- Excellent classroom practitioner, with a track record of strong pupil outcomes.
- Confident and inspiring leader with the ability to support colleagues with clarity and empathy.
- Someone who thrives on challenge and has a commitment to high expectations and continuous improvement.
- Able to lead by example, model best practice, and drive forward the school's vision for excellence in teaching and learning.
