Your new company: Our client is a global claims management firm and sits on the panels of most major insurers. Their forensic team works with external insurers as well as their own major, complex loss, engineering and cyber teams. The UK-wide forensic team is drawn from a variety of backgrounds, enabling them to approach cases from a broad range of angles. Backgrounds include commerce/industry, ex-forces, and practice/consulting. The team has its own graduate programme, studying ACA. Being a UK-wide team means they can respond to major loss on a localised level and there are accountants in each location. The team has a dedicated people director who runs the function operationally. Therefore, as a senior manager in this team, your management focus is on peer review, case strategy and tech review.
Responsibilities
- Assess business interruption and financial claims on site and from the office.
- Prepare reports, including commentary on the review and conclusion of analytical work.
- Meet clients including insurers, reinsurers, claimants and the insured.
- Calculate and agree settlements of claims, and prepare final reports.
- Develop staff and maintain professional relationships.
- Develop working relationships with existing clients and help identify and plan approaches to new clients.
- Keep abreast of technical or legal changes that may impact a case.
- Business development through repeat business via high‑calibre output.
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA qualified.
- Forensic accounting experience to at least senior manager level.
- Experience including major loss/insurer‑led work.
- Desire to grow experience in this area and to develop business.
- Willingness and ability to travel to business sites at short notice (primarily South East of England, but potentially elsewhere in the UK).
