Full-Time 1-Year Fixed-Term Contract (Maternity Cover)

We are currently supporting a welcoming and ambitious Further Education setting in appointing a passionate and creative A Level Art & Design Lecturer to join their team on a 1-year fixed-term maternity cover contract. This is an exciting opportunity for an inspiring educator who can engage learners, nurture artistic development, and deliver high-quality teaching that supports students in achieving their full creative potential.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring A Level Art & Design lessons
  • Support learners in developing practical, creative, and critical artistic skills
  • Plan, prepare, and assess learning in line with curriculum requirements
  • Monitor learner progress and provide targeted academic support
  • Create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment
  • Encourage learner achievement, progression, and confidence

The Ideal Candidate

  • Relevant degree within Art, Design, Fine Art, Visual Arts, or a related subject area
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent desirable)
  • Experience teaching Art & Design at KS5 / A Level / Further Education level
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Passion for creativity, education, and learner development
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
